Prevention of Covid-19 in BUNA

BUNA, Malang (16/3) facing the Covid-19 virus outbreak, BUNA together with the business units under it made efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the BUNA area. Quoted from WHOCOVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered type of coronavirus. This new virus and the disease it causes were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. COVID-19 is now a pandemic occurring in many countries around the world.

With the population of Brawijaya University reaching more than 65,000 people, the risk of transmitting the virus will be even greater. Universitas Brawijaya (UB) itself has started to prevent the spread of this virus by changing the teaching and learning system to be online. Thus, the risk of transmission will be reduced because lecturers and students will not meet face to face. In addition, there are also restrictions on entry access for anyone who will enter UB's area, including employees, students, and general visitors.

Several health protocols are carried out. Such as the obligation to use masks, check body temperature with a thermal gun at every entry and exit, access to one-door gates, counseling about the dangers of Covid-19, to helping UB's Covid-19 Satuan Gugus Tugas (Satgas), chaired by dr. Aurick Yudha Nagara, Sp. Em.

Prevention is also carried out by other units such as BUNA. BUNA with 6 business units under it jointly provide counseling about the importance of washing hands, wearing masks, and maintaining distance when in queues or public locations. Several posters and health support were also installed to make it easier for customers. In addition, several business units must also be forced to close to avoid things that are not desirable. Non Non-Food and Beverage sector business units such as UB Sport Center must be closed following the government's advice. The hotel sector such as Griya Brawijaya must also be temporarily closed. This temporary closure will be carried out until waiting for the next government decision for the common good and to support the #StayAtHome.
