State University of Malang (UM) conducted a comparative study with the Business Management Agency (BPU) Universitas Brawijaya on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. This visit was represented by the Head of UM Business Center, Drs. H. Moh. Ishom, M.Pd who was accompanied by the team. Meanwhile, from Universitas Brawijaya, the Vice-Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Moch. Sasmito Djati, MS., opened the event and gave his remarks regarding the visit. Several representatives of the Director of Business Entities such as the Directors of BUA, BUNA, BUKR, and BIIW, were also present to give a brief explanation about the business fields they manage.
The event which was held in the meeting room on the 6th floor of UB's head office was followed by remarks from Drs. H. Moh. Ishom regarding the management of the business center in UM. Similar to UB, UM also has several business units such as dormitories, clinics, sports centers, and others. "Although we are close in location, we don't know how UB manages PNBP funds to build facilities here," he said. The next session was a presentation from the President Director of BPU, Dr. Sihabudin, SH., MH. which was followed by a panel presentation from the Director of Business Entities, including BUNA, who was represented by the Deputy Director of Finance and Governance, Dr. M. Faisal Riza, S. Sos, M.Sc.
The event was continued with a visit to the business units in Universitas Brawijaya. To shorten the time, participants were divided into two groups with different goals. For BUNA business units, participants have the opportunity to visit Griya Brawijaya and UB Sport Center. From this visit, it is hoped that both universities can learn from each other's experiences and management to become a university with international quality.
