BUNA, Malang (6/9), the Direktorat Jenderal Penyediaan Perumahan handed over Rusunawa Griya Kertabhumi to Universitas Brawijaya. This Rusunawa was directly handed over by the Director General of Housing Provision, Dr. Ir. H. Khalawi AH. M. Sc, MM to the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS. Also attended by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. Sutiaji, this event was greeted by the Rector of UB, the Mayor of Malang, and the Director General of Housing Provision.
The Rusunawa construction itself was built in 2018 by the Housing Development Unit of the Flats Directorate as many as 1 block with a capacity of 196 students. In its management, this rusunawa will be under the management of UB Guest House and is intended for foreign students. Simultaneously with the submission of this rusunawa, Dr. Khalawi also signed the inscription as a sign of handover from the Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) to Universitas Brawijaya.
With this rusunawa, Dr. Khalawi and Drs. Sutiaji hopes to reduce congestion in the city of Malang. Because students do not need to bring a motorized vehicle to their study location and easy access will facilitate and save transportation costs.
