BUNA Visitation to Malaysia

BUNA – Malaysia (9/4), BUNA held a working visit to Malaysia on April 9-11 2019. This working visit was attended by the board of directors and staff of BUNA, as well as the General Manager of Griya Brawijaya, UB Sport Center, UB Kantin, and UB Media.

On the first day, BUNA had the opportunity to visit the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. This visit was welcomed by the Indonesian Education Attaché in Malaysia, Mukhammad Farid Maruf, Ph.D., and the Secretary to the Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Djadjuk Natsir, SH., MM. As Education Attache, Mukhammad Farid Maruf, Ph.D., told how the educational conditions of Indonesian children in Malaysia were. Meanwhile, Djadjuk Natsir, SH., MH. explained the activities of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) in Malaysia.

On the second day, BUNA visited two well-known universities in Malaysia, namely Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). BUNA's visit to UPM was held at the Putra Science Park (PSP) building which was attended by the Director of PSP, Prof. Dr. Samsilah Roslan, Deputy Director, Dr. Mohamad Fakri Zaky Jaafar, UPM Senior Lecturer, Dr. Mohd Zuhair bin Mohd Nor, and PSP staff, Hafliza Hussin. This discussion was filled with explanations about Putra Science Park's products and developments, such as Edu-Park which is engaged in education-based recreation, Putra Dynamics which is engaged in services. training and Inno-Hub which is engaged in innovation and research. In closing, BUNA and UPM exchanged souvenirs and took pictures together.

On the same day, BUNA continued to visit Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). This visit was welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor of UKM, Prof. Dato' Dr. Nor Ghani Md. Nor. In addition, this visit was attended by the Director of Marketing and Management, Nur Hamidi Baharuddin, BSC., BA., Director of Infrastructure, Ir. Dr. Othman Jaafar, and the SME staff. In his presentation, Prof. Dato' Dr. Nor Ghani Md. Nor explained about the existing facilities and services in SMEs and how to manage them. The facilities at UKM are similar to those of BUNA, such as accommodation, sports center, canteen, and cafe. In closing, Prof. Dato' Dr. Nor Ghani Md. Nor said, “Thank you for visiting us at UKM. I'm sure we can move forward together by sharing the best experiences. That useful knowledge will also reward us continuously.”

On the third day, BUNA held a brief discussion on the results of the visit two days earlier. This discussion was carried out simultaneously as BUNA's evaluation of future units and programs as well as improvements to be implemented.
